Despite showing them proof that we had pre-purchased full cover insurance. 2 days after returning to Melbourne we noticed they charged our credit card per their invoice (which is more than double what we were to pay per our reservation through Webjet) Budget informs me because we signed the contract they are within their rights to charge us what they did. They assured us it would be sorted on their end and we would not be charged incorrectly. I followed up with Budget when handing back the keys in Auckland as their invoice did not tally with the booking reservation we did with webjet online. Webjet asked me to put it in writing which I did. I thought something was up when I saw my credit card transactions a couple of days later and phoned both budget and webjet to get it resolved. When picking up the car from budget in Auckland after providing the online registration details we were asked yo sign a contract which we thought was consistent with what we had booked online. We booked our travel and carhire through webjet and paid for full cover insurance online. Very disappointed in both Budget and Webjet. I have sent you everything don’t bother asking me for more evidence you should all have it. now you have taken money out of my household. I only used $40 in your petrol and brought it back full etc. The guy at the kiosk said nothing but I’m bringing the car back on the 26/6 is that right and I said yes. Wouldn’t I have been charged at first instance. If I booked one night to hire the car and got the money taken straight away, but I apparently change dates for further along. Ummm no I didn’t because you would’ve charged me the full cost when I booked the first time. ![]() An ur customer service people kept on saying u only booked one day. But I had only once booked it for 23/6-26/6 paid what I needed n then paid insurances. An then said we only have u taking the vehicle this date for one day. ![]() Well I thought everything was ok until I got charged $1100 out of no where. ![]()
